Our holiday blend coffee is comprised of two of our most popular single origin offerings. Coffees from Honduras’ COMSA Cooperative and Ethiopia’s Negele Gorbitu Cooperative are well-loved by Amavida’s patrons for their balance of citric acidity and sweet notes of brown sugar. Our roasters’ intent in creating this blend was to highlight the flavors of baked fruit, dense chocolate, and caramelized sugar that are available in these coffees without losing the acids that provide for a well-balanced cup.

The Bottom Line

We chose two coffees from different parts of the world as components for this holiday blend coffee and believe that they complement one another well. By lengthening the development phase of the roast for each component, we hoped to accentuate the rich and full-bodied spice and chocolate notes available in these coffees that are reminiscent of the Christmas season. The end result is a sweet and cozy, beautifully aromatic cup of coffee that has great texture and is really approachable.
