Natural Coffee Beans from COMSA Cooperative
Each year, the coffee producer cooperative COMSA in Marcala, Honduras meticulously organizes a premium lot program to showcase their individual farmers. These lots are limited, experimental and unique. This natural processed coffee from Bryan Bautista and his farm, “Adolfo’s” is our first release from this program for 2023. With tasting notes of raspberry, strawberry and plum, this fair trade and organic certified trekker series coffee from Honduras is a standout in our lineup.
Bryan Bautista is a third generation farmer, and his grandparents produced coffee for over 40 years. The farm name, ADOLFO’S has stayed in the family for all three generations. Bryan's farm is located in the community of Musla, Marcala in La Paz, Honduras. At 1540 meters above sea level, Bryan grows Yellow/ Red Catuai, Yellow/ Red Bourbon, Pacamara, Gesha and Lempira Coffee trees. His farm is 50 years old. This particular lot is a natural processed, meaning the fruit is left on the coffee as it dries. This results in a unique, fruity profile.
The Bottom Line:
This is an exceptional natural processed reserve series Honduras. This is our first year offering a coffee from Bryan Bautista, and we are excited to continue the relationship in future harvests. This coffee is bursting with raspberry, strawberry and plum. It is a well rounded coffee that is a crowd pleaser for all coffee drinkers.
