Espresso Romantico is named for the classic full bodied espresso that characterized cafes from past decades. We recognize that some things don’t have to change, and an expressive dark roasted espresso blend is just as important as its lighter roasted counterparts. The increased roast temperature and caramelization leave only bittersweet, lingering and intensely robust flavors in the cup.

Robust Traditional Espresso with Lingering Creama and a Rich Aftertaste
Espresso Romantico is Amavida’s darkest, most developed traditional espresso. Period. We focused on creating a dense, robust organic espresso blend with lingering crema and a rich, seemingly never-ending aftertaste. We achieved this by blending and roasting coffees from Central America, South America and Indonesia well past our other dark roast offerings. We lengthen the roast time to mute acidity and extenuate the espresso’s body. The increased roast temperature and caramelization leave only bittersweet, lingering and intensely robust flavors in the cup. Often times coffees roasted in this style may taste smoky or ashy, but special care and 15+ years of roasting experience ensures that the Espresso Romantico has a clean, sweet finish.
